ARSENICUM ALUM. 47 3 or 4 weeks. —c Paroxysms of a rheumatic tearing pain, lasting 6 days, and coming on again after an interval of 4 days. -*.Burning pains in internal and external parts. —~Inflammation of internal organs with violent burning pains. — Gastricbilious hysteric conditions. —~Dropsical swelling. —*Scrofulous complaints.-Sense of deadness in the extremities.*Excessive prostration.-While lying one feels strong and desires to get up, but sinks down as soon as one is on one's feet.-Fainting turns. —*Emaciation. —* Consumption. *Jaundice.-O~Chlorosis.-OB]oat of the limbs and face, with large abdomen and glandular swellings. —Anasarca. —~Asiatic cholera. —*Obstinate influenza. —* Trembling of the limbs. -* Convulsions.-*Tonic spasms.-Paralysis. —*Epilepsy. Skin.-~Dry, parchment-like or else blue and cold skin.*Rash, especially white. —I tch like pimples.-Varioloid.*Urticaria.-~OBlood-blisters cover the whole body.-*Petechice owith putrid fever.-*Black pocks as if gangrenous.*Suppuratilng herpes with violent burning pain. —~ Ochorous ul cers with raised edges or thin crusts.. —* Gangrenous or can. cerous ulcers.-~Insensible or *extremely painful ulcers with stinging and burning ~especially when the parts become cold. *Discoloured nails.- ~Warts.- ~OChilblains.-*Varices.*Burning and burning itching. Sleep. —Evening, —sopor.-*Sleeplessness at night, with constant tossing about.-*Starting of single parts or of the whole body when on the point of falling asleep or during sleep. -~Only half asleep, constantly disturbed by moaning and grating of the teeth. —*Nightly restlessness, anguish about the heart and violent burning under the skin, as if hot water were flowing through the veins. — *Wakes frequently and finds it difficult to fall asleep again. —Anxious dreams. Fever.-*General coldness, with loss of pulse and clammy cold sweat, —' Chilliness and shuddering without thirst, generally in the room, or immediately after drinking, with paroxysms of pain, or setting in of other symptoms together with the chilliness. —Evening-chill with stretching of the limbs and apprehensive uneasiness. —*Attacks offever preceded by vertigo and great debility, attended with humming in the ears, or followed by aching pain in the forehead.-~ Quotidian, tertian and quartan fevers, with indistinct, chilliness and heat, with great restlessness and thirst, or else without thirst during the chilliness and heat.- Intermittent fevers after abuse of cinchona.-~Puerperal fevers, ~mucous fevers, ~putrid fevers, and ~lentescent typhus. —Gastric and bilious fevers with vomiting, internal heat, violent thirst, cutting in the bowels as if diarrhcea would set in. —*Nightly burning heat all over,
