LACHESIS. 29 stomach. —Hepatitis, especially of drunkards?-Sensation as if a ball were gathering in right side. —Softening of the liver?-Abscesses of the liver?-*Pain across the abdomen. -~Pains in the left lumbar region, with constipation.-Spasmodic cholic. —-Tearig in the abdomen ~during the menses. — Sensation as of some thing alive in abdomen, ~with intolerable'pain.-*Burning in the abdomen, ~with pressure up to the throat, with scanty menses.-*Distention of the abdomen, as from flatulence. —Flatulence with tenesmus in the anus. -Cutting, and drawing pains from right groin to uterus and sexual parts. —~Painful swelling and induration in right side of abdomen, with throbbing. Stool and Anus. —*Chronic constipation. -*Ineffectual urging to stool, as if the anus were closed.-*Thin stools, Oalso with slippery lumps.-Alternate constipation and diarrhcea. —~Chronic diarrhoa, generally evening and night.~Discharge of blood and pus from the anus.-*Pressing towards the rectum, worse when sitting, when the parts are lame. —Piles. —Varices of the anus and rectum at the critical age. Urine. - *Urinary difficulties. - *Frequent emission of foaming urine.-Urine "yellow, or ~turbid, with cutting during the emission.-*Burning when urinating. Male Parts. —~Hard prepuce, in a case of mercurial syphilis.-*Red spots on the glans, ~also with syphilitico.mercurial bone-pains.-~Contusive pain in the testes. —No emission during an embrace. Female Parts. —Scanty, delaying menses.-cSometimes indispensable to women at the critical age, even with profuse menses. —Before the menses, vertigo, headache, bleeding of the nose, pressure at the stomach, spasm of the chest, eructations, ~or leucorrhcea. -~During the menses, tearing in the abdomen, throbbing in the head, pains in the small of the back, abdomen, hips. Windpipe. - *Suffocative throbbing between the larynx and chest. —Sore sensitiveness of the larynx, early.*Hoarseness, with sensation as if something had to be hawk. ed up. —*Cough with tickling at the larynx, ~also with suffocative fluttering at the palate. — Dry, or racking cough. — oDifficult, yellow expectoration, with rough voice and soreness of the chest. —Spitting of blood. —Useful palliative in pulmonary phthisis. Chest —*Shortness of breath, or *dyspncea, ~in hydrothorax, with swelling of the feet.-Asthma, early abating after hawking up tough mucus. —*Weight on the chest Oalso with anguish. - *Pressure on the chest as if full of wind. - *Stitches
