PART I, CONTAINING THE MOST FREQUENTLY USED HOM(EOPATHIC REMEDIES AND THEIR PRINCIPAL PATHOGENETIC AND CURATIVE SY)MPTOMS. 1.-ACONITUIM, General Symptoms.-~0Sticking pains, or pains confined to a little spot.-*Painful sensitiveness to contact either of the whole body or especially of the affected part.*Intolerab!e pains causing one to be beside one's-self, maddening pains, especially at night.-* Great irritation of the nervous or vascular system.-~Great debility. —Congestions, especially to the chest, heart and head, particularly in plethoric persons.-Ol~nflammation of the serous membranes. —~External and internal dry heat of the affected parts. —~Paroxysms of pain, with thirst and redness of the face. —Ailments caused by fright and chagrin.-~Complaints of young plethoric persons leading a sedentary life. —Ailments caused by wine and other heating beverages. —~Catarrhal or rheumatic complaints caused by a dry, sharp east-wind.t —*Fainting, especially when rising from a recumbent posture, *also attended with paleness of the face, congestion of blood to the head, ~buzzing in the ears, Ochilliness, -bruised feeling in the extremities, tremnor.-Considerable disposition to lie down. —Cataleptic attacks, with cry, hiccough, grinding of the teeth. —Tl'etanic spasms in the case of a child, with disposition to drink, locking of the jaws and alternate redness and paleness. —Hysteric spasms. Skin.-Spots like flea-bites, especially on the face and hands.-~Swelling and burning heat of injured or affected parts. — Red, hot, shining swellings.-~ Yellow colour of the skin, jaundice.-Every part of the body turns black, with swelling of the whole body, protrusion of the eyes and hangin gout of the tongue. —~Measles; ~purple-rash; ~rubeole; ~rash of children.-0Erysipelatous inflammations with violent fever. —Burns. t Note of the Editor: In Germany the East wind is generally a dry, sharp wind.
