DULCAIMARA. 175 58. —DILCAMARA. General Symptoms. —*Stitching-drawilg, or learing pains in the limbs, ~especially after a cold.-*Ailnzents arisingfrom a eold.-The pains are worse in the evening or at night and during rest; abate during motion.-Excessive secretion of the mucus membranes. —*Swelling and induration of the glands.-~Scrofulous complaints.- *Emaciation.-Cold swellings. -Dropsical swellings of internal 6rgans and of the whole body, limbs and 1tce. -Rapid swelling of the whole body.OParalysis of extremities.-*Very weary.-~Diseases arising fiom measles. Skin. —*Dryness and heat of the skin. —*Nettlerash.~Vesicular eruption, with yellowish-watery fluid.-Eruptions appearing suddenly after a cold. —Dry, furfuraceous, scaly, or ~suppurating, humid *herpes.-Herpetic crust over the whole body. —~Herpes with glandular swellings.-~Itching pustules, changing to scurfy ulcers. —Pale herpes, discharging water when scratched. —OHerpes bleeding when scratched, reddish or with red areolve, or small, round and brownishyellow. -~IIerpes with reddish border and painful when touched by cold water. — Herpes in the joints. —Thickening of the skin which scales off. —~Warts. Sleep. — Very drowsy in the day-time.-*Restless nightsleep, on account of heat and twitchings of the body, after midnight.- JWakes very early. Fever —Frequent chilliness and coldness in the evening, even near the warm stove. —Coldness during the pains.OChilliness, followed by burning heat, with stupifying headache, red face, burning heat of the palate and unquenchable thirst for some cold drink.-*Dry heat and burning in the skin, -with delirium and thirst. —Hard, tense pulse. —~Mucous fever atfter a cold? —Sweat all over, especially at night. —Fetid sweat with profuse discharge of urine. —Intermittent fevers with evening-exacerbations. Emotive Sphere. — Internal uneasiness. — Impatience.Disposed to dispute, without being vexed. —Nightly delirium, with increrase of pain. Sentient Sphere. - *The head feels very dull ~as if a board were pressing against the forehead. Head. —-*Stupifying headache, only in some spots. —*Boring and burning in the forehead, Kwith digging from within outwards. —~Rhush of blood to the head, with humming in the ears and hard hearing. —The occiput feels enlarged.-*The head feels heavv. —The headache is aggravated by motion and talking. Eyes.-Pressnre in the eyes when reading.-Sensation as
