Emotive Sphere. -Internal grief and anguish of con. science. -Out of humour, with attacks of taciturnity. — Alternate dread and love of work. Sentient Sphere,-Alternate excellence and weakness of memory. -Stupified dulness of the mind, with inability to perform any kind of work. —Vertigo when standing, as if the brain were moved. Head.-Stupifying headache, with obscuration of vision. -Continual stitches in the brain, when stooping. —Stitches in the temples. Integuments of the Head.-Itching stinging on the hairy scalp, shifting to some other spot after scratching. Eyes.-Eyes faint and sunken.-Stinging in the eyes and lids.-Swelling of the lids. —Dilatation of the pupils. —Mistiness of sight. Ears.-Drawing in the ear. —Diminution of hearing, as if the ears were stopped. Nose.-Diminution of smell. Face.-Numb feeling in the upper lip, or as if hard. Teeth. —Dull drawing toothache, at night. —*Arthritic stitching and boring in the teeth. IMouth.-White-coated tongue. —Rough, slimy feeling in the mouth, continually.-The palate is very dry in the evening, with hunger and thirst. Appetite and Taste. -Foul taste.-Everything one eats tastes flat.-Little hunger and appetite, especially early in the morning and evening.- One is satiated, and loathes food as soon as one commences to eat.-mAversion to bread and butler, and cold food.-Very drowsy after eating. Gastric Symptoms. -Frequent empty, or sourish eructations.-Sobbing eructations, especially after eating.-Inclination to vomit, with qualmishness in the region of the stomach, as after eating grease, after dinner and supper. —Waterbrash, with nausea, in the evening. Stomach and Abdomen.-Fullness and pressure in the pit of the stomach, as if overloaded.-Malaise in the lower abdomen, with nausea. -The lower abdomen is painfully sensitive to the least touch. —Sudden attacks of pinching colic. — Rumbling in the lower abdomen, immediately after eating. Stool.-Frequent hard stools.-Papescent stools.-Drawing pressure at the anus, and in the perinoeum, as if ulcerated interiorly. Urine.-Frequent urging to urinate, and copious emission
