BRYONIA ALBA. 85 Gastric Symptoms.-Eructations, especially after eating. mostly bitter and sourish, or tasting of the ingesta. —*Empty eructations.- Gulping-up of the ingesta, after every meal.Hiccough. —*Inclination to vomit, especially after eating food which one relishes, or when raising one's-self from a recumbent posture. —-Anxious inclination to vomit, when sitting down and when attempting to drink. —Morning-nausea. — *Emnpty retching -with waterbrash. —~Vomiting, immediately after drinking, ~or after eating bread.-Vomiting of mucus in the evening. —* Vomiting of the ingesta, with hiccough and gagging.-* Vomiting first of bitter water, or bile, then of food, also at night.-*cematemesis. —~Stitches in the left side of the abdomen, when vomiting. Stomach. —~Pain in the stomach after straining by lifting. — Pressure in the stomach as from a stone, after eating, ~especially after eating bread, -with ill humour. —~Cardialgia, especially when arising from affections of the spleen.~Stricture of the pyloric orifice?-Oppression in the pit of the stomach, and painful tension when touching it, with feeling of warmth. —~Stitching in the stomach when lying on the side, also in the pit of the stomach, when treading or making a wrong step. —The pit of the stomach feels sore when touching it or when coughing.-The least pressure in the pit of the stomach is intolerable.-'Burning in the stomach during motion. Abdomen, — *Pains in the liver, mostly ~stinging or *tensive and burning, ~especially when touching the part, coughing or drawing breath.-OHepatitis.-~Drawing pain in the right hypochondrium, extending to the stomach and back, early in the morning and after dinner, with vomiting.~Diaphragmitis? —~Hard swelling around the hypochondria and umbilicus. —Colic of pregnant females. —~ Chronic pains in the abdomen, with tension of the abdomen and waterbrash. -*Distention of the abdomen, ~especially after eating. —Pressure in the epigastrium, especially after eating. —~Hysteric abdominal spasms. —~Tearing in the abdomen from the hips to the pit of the stomach. —Pinching in the abdomen, every time alter eating or drinking.- Cutting and stitching in the abdomen, especially after taking warm milk.-~Venous congestions in the abdomen? —~Hard swelling around the umbilicus.0Enteritis. — Ascites.-Loud rumbling in the abdomen, with emission of flatulence, or only in the evening, in bed. Stool and Anus.-* Constipation. —'Chronic *costiveness.*Large-sized stool which is passed with difficulty. -Scanty, hard stool as if burnt. —*Diarrhoea, -smelling like spoiled cheese, or ~with discharge of undigested food and violent cholic, also after a cold.-T~Diarrhcea, early in the morning.
