CARDUUS BENEDICTUS. 473 Lower Extremities. —From sitting he experiences a pain at the right buttock as if the parts had been violently pressed upon, the right foot going to sleep.-Pain near the left tibia, in the flesh, externally, as if contused, followed by stitching in the whole of the left limb.-Stinging-aching pain in the small toe of the left foot, at a spot where he had had a corn heretofore.-Stinging sensation under the left big toe, as if considerable coldness were penetrating under the nails. CANTHARIDES. (See Jahr, p. 102.) General Symptoms.-~Asiatic cholera, attended with retention of urine and spasmodic pains in the bladder, rumbling in the bowels, stools preceded by tenesmus and sometimes bloody. —Burns (employed externally, second dilution). Fever. —Tertian fever, with difficulty of urinating. Urinary Organs.-*Nephritis.-* Cystitis.-Dilatation of the bladder; paralysis of the neck of the bladder. —Violent pain in the urethra, with icy coldness of the hands and feet.~Painful gonorrhcea, with chordee. Female Parts.-Leucorrhcea with burning during micturition, corroding the parts.-Leucorrhcea, with violent sexual desire. —Obstinate leucorrhcea, with pains in the kidneys and loins, painful stool, general debility, &c. CAPSICUM ANNUUM. (See Jahr, p. 105.) CARBO ANIMALIS. (See Jahr, p..107.) liead. —Nervous and congestive headache, with pressure in the occiput, soon after eating. CARBO VEGETABILIS. (See Jahr, p. 111.) Stool. —~Painful varices in the rectum, ~also large, swollen, blue. Windpipe. —Catarrh and sore throat after measles.~Laryngeal and tracheal phthisis. Chest. —Asthenic pneumonia, with brown-red, frothy expectoration. —*Spasm of the chest, with blueness of the face. CARDUUS BENEDICTUS. Skin.-Eruption resembling nettlerash or gooseflesh, the rash being rather acuminated, hard, painless, preceded by a cold shivering over the whole body, becoming somewhat raised,
