318 PU LSATILL A. and ~inner ear, with heat, redness and swelling. — Painful swelling of the cartilages of the ear. —*Purutent discharge from the ears.-Burning-smarting scurf on the helix. —Ringing, *roaring, humming and whizzing in the ears. —*Deafness as if the ears were stopped, ~especially after suppression of' measles, or caused by fiequent catarrhs of the head in consequence of having one's hair cut repeatedly. Nose.-Ulcerative pain of the outer and inner nose.-* Ulcerated, humid alas ntasi.-"Nose-bleed.-Purulent discharge from the nose. —Smell before the nose as of old catarrh. Face. — Complexion pale or Oyellowish. —Alternate paleness and redness of the face.-~Bloated, blue-red face.Twitchings in the face.-The skin of the face feels sore when touched.-Tightness of the face as if it would swell.-Shivering on one side of the face. — Erysipelas in the face, with stinging.-Cracked lips, with peeling off.-Tensive swelling of the lower lip.-Drawing tearing in the lower jaw. Teeth, -*Drawing-jerking toothache, as if the nerve were put upon the stretch and then let loose again, ~with fine stitches in the gums. —~Throbbing pains or digging in hollow teeth, with drawing extending to the eye. —*The toothache is worse in the evening and at night, also inl bed and in a warm room; it is easily excited by a toothpick, also by eating, especially by warm food; it abates in the cool air. — Soreness of the gums. —Pulsations in the gums. —*Looseness of the teeth, ~especially the painful ones. Mouth.-Dry mouth, early in the morning.-Bad, fetid smell of the mouth, especially early in the morning and at night. -Flow of sweetish saliva, with inclination to vomit. — The tongue feels burnt and insen.ible. —*Tongue coated yellowish, and covered with tenacious mucus.-A good deal of phlegm in the mouth. Throat. —Throat as if raw, during and between the acts of deglutition. —Sore throat when swallowing as if swollen. -*S!ingiinq sore throat, with pressure and tension when swallowing.-*Inzammation of the throat, ~with dark, varicose distention of the vessels.-Dryness and tenacious phlegm in the throat, especially at night and early in the morning. Appetite and Taste.- *Taste fiat or putrid,-or empyreurnatic, earthy or chalky.-Beer has a sweet taste.-*Sour taste, -especially after eating or drinking. -*Bitter taste, -in the evening and early in the morning, especially when eatinq, drinking or chewing, more particularly bread, or after swzallowing.food or drink. —*The taste of every kind of food is diminished.-*Adipsia or ~violent thirst with moist tongue,
